Born and raised in Seattle, Ms. Spain has also lived in Cleveland and New York City.
She is a proud alumna of the University of Washington.
In addition to her administrative duties as executive director for Seattle Neighborhood
Group, she community organizes, designs crime prevention education curriculum and is
a trainer for SNG’s Landlord Training Workshops for safe rentals. Currently, she is on
the city’s South Park Crime and Safety Task Force. She has been with Seattle
Neighborhood Group for the past six years.
Her diverse non-profit experience in administration, fundraising, event production and
management is formidable. She has over 30 years association with the Boys & Girls
Clubs (BGC), including President/CEO of BGC Thurston County, Vice President of
Development for BGC of King County, and director of development for BGC of
Snohomish County. Linda’s experience also includes director of development for ACT
Theatre and the Seattle Children’s Museum, and executive director of the Olympia
Symphony Orchestra.
Her volunteer experience, to name a few, includes being a member of the boards of the
Boys & Girls Clubs of King County, University of Washington Women’s Center, Junior
League of Seattle, Kids Place City of Seattle, KINGCO Women’s Tennis Association,
and the City of Seattle Asian & Pacific Islander Task Force.
