beth mccawBeth is the President of Washington Women’s Foundation and in that role, has overall strategic and operational responsibility for the Foundation.  In 2011, Beth retired from the Seattle law firm of Stokes Lawrence, P.S., where she was a shareholder in the firm’s estate planning group.  Beth is the Immediate Past Chair of the Board of Directors of the YWCA of Seattle-King County-Snohomish County and serves on the Board of Trustees of Overlake Medical Center and the Board of Visitors of Davidson College.  She chaired the Executive Committee of the Real Property, Probate & Trust Section of the Washington State Bar Association and is a past President of the Board of Trustees of The Rainier Club, the Board of Directors of Book-It Repertory Theatre and the Washington Planned Giving Council.  Beth also volunteers as a board leadership trainer for ArtsFund and the United Way of King County.  Beth is a Fellow in the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and from 2008 through 2011, was recognized by The Best Lawyers in America® in Non-Profit/Charities.


Washington Women’s Foundation is a collective grant making membership organization that educates, inspires and increases the number of women committed to philanthropy in order to strengthen community and demonstrate the impact that can result from informed, focused grant making.  Since its inception in 1995, more than 1,000 women have been members of the Foundation and, together, they have invested more than $15 million in our community.
