Life and Laughter in the Cemetery

David Lukov, from Hawthorne Funeral Home and Memorial Park, Mt Vernon, will lead an entertaining and enjoyable presentation that will look at different ways people have been memorialized in cemeteries throughout the world. We will see some interesting headstones and epitaphs as well as fascinating structures. While some find cemeteries to be frightening and scary places, this presentation will show some of the more interesting ways that cemeteries help keep memories alive. Prepare to be amused and inspired!

David Lukov

David Lukov is the Family Services Director at Hawthorne Funeral Home and Memorial Park in Mt. Vernon, and Gilbertson Funeral Home in Stanwood. He has spent the past thirteen years working with helping people with pre-arrangements and grief support in funeral homes and cemeteries throughout the State of Washington. David also brings years of experience as a pastor, hospice bereavement coordinator, and college instructor.

David is a graduate of Shorecrest High School (Shoreline, WA), Whitworth University (Spokane, WA) and Princeton Theological Seminary (Princeton, NJ). He is married to a Tarheel, Mary, and is the father of two children, Brett and Megan. David enjoys walking and hiking, mat pilates, bowling, jiu-jitsu, trivia, history and M*A*S*H..
